I'd rather donate to (or invest in) Virgin Galactic. I approve of what NASA is supposed to do, but I think they currently suck at doing it, and more public money won't solve that problem. NASA advanced the technology to the point where the private sector can take over, and for that I respect them. But now the private sector should take over, and is in fact doing so, and is going to do far more, more efficiently, than NASA will.

If I'm going to have the option of donating to another government-run organization on my taxes, how about public schools?
