Sure, being white has advantages in our society. I don't think anyone's denying that. (I still won't put up with taking any blame for stuff that happened before my ancestors got here, sorry ;) ).
But that's not what the word racism means, nor is it what the word racism has historically meant and I find that particular redefinition of the word to be socially destructive because it releases people from the responsibility to look after their own prejudices.
What we SHOULD be doing as a society is saying, "discrimination based on prejudice is wrong"[1] and "we want every member of society to succeed, regardless of their background"
[1] Discrimination based on experience is fine by me. If someone is an incompetent architect, I don't want them designing buildings. If someone's a crap programmer, I don't want them on my team at work.
