Apartments for Rent

weirdquark and Lila-and-I will be renting out our apartments. Both are located in Porter Square, on a quiet residential street just off of Massachusetts Avenue, three blocks away from the Porter Square T-stop, a large grocery store, a hardware store, a drug store, several bus-stops, a local independent book-store, a dentist, and a number of other, more obscure (but fun) stores and restaurants. The condo association for the building is diligent, and very good about keeping the walks shoveled, the flowers planted, etc, and neighbors are friendly. Washing machines and dryers are located behind the building, and are kept in good repair. Parking spaces are available for rent behind the building, which is also the local zip-car parking lot and pick-up location. Both apartments have been owned by non-smokers for at least the last six years. Both apartments come with the option of lowering costs by sharing phone/internet service with reversepolarity, who lives down the hall.
weirdquark’s apartment is a one-bedroom, with several large north-west-facing windows which let in plenty of light. It includes kitchen (including a microwave and a recently-replaced garbage disposal) and bathroom. It can be rented empty or partially-furnished (couch, bookshelves, waste-baskets, etc.) Heat and water are included. She is asking $1400/month for it.
Our apartment is a studio, with several large south-east-facing windows which let in plenty of light and make the place feel spacious. The kitchen and bathroom cabinets and the floor of the main room will have been recently re-done upon your moving in. This apartment comes with a window air-conditioner unit, which is a few years old, but in good repair. It can be rented empty or partially-furnished (bed). Heat and water are included. It has been home to cats for the last several years, but will be thoroughly cleaned before being rented out. We are asking $1200/month.
