Hello, I came here from the link in Jenn's blog and I have to say your essay was very insightful.

Try to have some empathy-- if I'd been told for my whole life that I were inferior for one particular aspect of myself, and then people turned around and started taking that aspect as something which is really cool when they do it... I'd be pretty damn annoyed too.

This is so ON POINT I don't even know what to say. Thank you for understanding. :)
