Cake or death?

A drabble for homasse, who requested a Full Metal Alchemist/Yami no Matsuei crossover. (It came out more of a fusion-- that okay?)

As she suspected, it is perfectly light and fluffy.

Except, y'know, really, really not.

Post-Kyoto arc AU/spoilers for somewhere in FMA, but probably not very far in-- maybe 20 episodes? Been a while since I've seen it.



Non-Equivalent

Touda's flames died down, the transmutation failed, and Hisoka was left with nothing of his partner except the useless marks he'd inscribed in his skin.

So when he saw the familiar figure again, he didn't care about how. The changes seemed so minor-- jewel-tones to monochrome, a bouncing gait to a glide-- compared to the thought that he was back, he hadn't left, he was home.

Hisoka only realized his mistake when he hit the ground, hands pinned above his head. "Tsuzuki" gazed down from eyes that looked so soulful. "Hey, Hisoka... am I human?"

The young alchemist choked. "No."

I'm not normally much into drabbles, but I found this via your memories page and *had* to read it because a) I'm a big fan of both YnM and FMA and b) I read your YnM fic "Mercy of the Fallen" yesterday and felt, as I never have with any other fic, that it was the best fic I'd ever read.

I love this drabble! ^___^
