How to Handle a Plague: Saturday Links
Mar. 28th, 2020 08:16 amSo, I don't work on weekends, and therefore don't have insights from sessions. But I always feel better when I have something I can do about problems, so here are some links.
1) Join a mutual aid society. Here is a list of groups you can join of people trying to help each other out. You can find the one closest to you, and see whether they're doing anything you're suited for!
2) Sew breathing masks for hospitals! This won't tell you how to make the high-tech N95 respirator masks, but since some hospitals are running short of all masks, some are happy to accept these-- the link gives you suggestions for how to ask your local hospital whether this will work for them.
3) Donate to the Cambridge Mayor's Disaster Relief Fund.. Possibly mostly of interest to people local to me, but still: Mayor Sumbul Siddiqui has started up a fund to help people affected in ways like, hire local restaurants to feed the homeless. It is definitely not taking this opportunity to put socialism in place, why would you say that? ;) Possibly your local Mayor is doing something similar?
Anyway. Good luck, all!
